... I keep wanting more and more music.
I mean, I've got 1,612 songs in my library [so far] and I haven't even listened to all of them all the way through yet!
As if it isn't bad enough I'm practically addicted to fanmixes...
Anybody else ever felt like this?
Maybe it's because my tastes in music is truly broadening [now] and I am just wanting to see what else I have missed out on...? *another game of "catch-up", eh?*
I actually watched this very interesting program on PBS (yes, I watch that channel a lot nowadays, shut up) about the connection music has to our brains - some say it's imprinted in our DNA - and just exploring the science of it and all that it manages to do for us (change our moods, can actually help people in recovery or help them out of a coma, it has been known to help Alzheimer's patients improve with their memories and going into how when the brain is photographed while listening to music it... it "lights up" or something *lol - they explained it much better than I can right now*). Even noting the physical responses we can feel due to music (like getting goose bumps - a few of my newest songs are doing that for me - or just wanting to move your body to the rhythm also known as "the manipulation of movement" or "dancing") was interesting and only made me want to explore it more.
Anyways, just curious to see what some of you guys think about all of this - because I know some of you listen to music just as much as I do (some of you probably more so).
How many songs do you have in your "library"? Do you think music is just a form of entertainment or is it ingrained in all of us? How many songs (or which songs) have made you experience emotions or physical responses you couldn't control? And how many of you liked it? ^_~
