Nobody Bleeds in Stripes

I just like that quote from a conversation with Nick. I'm not going to explain it because it goes into details that I am keeping from certain people. Don't ask, I'm not telling. :) Maybe later.

It's been a really long time since I updated, like since before thanksgiving. The holiday was good. I got to see my family and have fun with them. That's always good. We went out to dinner, which didn't really do it for me, but the restaurant was nice. They served me champagne too, without a second glance or me even asking for any. And it was pretty good champagne too, I usually don't like the stuff, but that probably has to do with asti just being nasty and that being my first exposure to the stuff. The food was pretty good, I liked the asparagus soup, and I enjoyed my apple pie, even though I'm not much of a pie person. I remember loving the apple pie that I made for colonial day in 4th grade. That was good. I need to learn how to make some mad apple pie. New life goal there. :)

Also over the weekend I got to hang out with my Brandon, just generic chilling on tuesday, and special birthday chilling on saturday. We went out to this nice Italian restaurant near Glory Days and then went back to his house. He led me up to his room and then people came and surprised me. It was Ashish, Missy, Jess, and Liz. Then I got to eat brownies and open some gifts. Liz got me a gigantic Care Bear and a scarf and Brandon got me a picture of himself (I asked for a copy of his senior photo a while ago and he finally found one), some magic cards (I finally have a samurai deck and a better wizard/beast deck, but still nobody to play against), and a pretty necklace with this blue stone shaped kind of like a lightening bolt. It's pretty. The party was kinda fun, shishi and missy left and david came. We played magic and watched hook and by the time the movie was over everyone was gone. Went back to my house and played some magic and then I had to crash. Sunday I came back to school and got readjusted to that.

The week passed. Tuesday was my birthday. Yay for that. On monday night Britney J and I stayed up really late watching how to loose a guy in 10 days and they had a surprise party for me. We had vanilla cake which isn't my favorite, but it was pretty good for store bought vanilla cake. Much better then the dining hall cake crap. The icing in the dining hall is nasty. Even the chocolate is nasty. My birthday as a whole was pretty good. I got christy to go to lunch with me, even though she was sick and kindof grumpy. Jess and I went to Sakura for dinner and I had yummy tempura. Then guard practice. That was fun too, I like guard. I was totally crazy and just blamed it on my birthday and got away with it. I got flowers too, from Jeff and Marty, and somebody, I guess my suitemates or Busi made signs that said "happy birthday abbie" and put them all over the door to the suite. It was really nice of them.

The rest of the week just passed. Managed to get some work done. A friend of mine from governor's school, nick, approached me on my birthday in psych and wished me a happy one, then we went to lunch on thursday and hung out for a bit before psych again. I had a suite dinner on wednesday. Today I had lunch with frank and dan gantz. Talk about a blast from the past, I haven't heard from him since middle school. He's changed some, not to mention that he's grown and has facial hair now. He's better looking than I remember him being too, but didn't like everyone have a crush on him in middle school. I guess I liked some different people than everyone else. Man who remembers our prank phone call to ryan huttar in 7th grade from one of aparna's parties. A bunch of people left birthday messages on the facebook for me, one of them being Jenna Burneskis, another blast from middle school. We had a blast in Japanese. Always eat some more Jenna!!

What else. I'm half watching the ring because Omazi and some of her friends are watching it. So maybe I'll go sit on my bed and really watch it instead because this turning around business is annoying.

Random note. I get to spin rifle in the guard show, go me. Experience doesn't seem to be necessary. But the drill that Robin wrote doesn't work too well, so hopefully we'll be going over that some on sunday. Too much motion in too few counts.

Random note 2. Five days of classes. Five exams. I'll be back in Nova december 22nd.
