A Good Week

"You won't be bored for long! New adventures are on their way." -My Fortune Cookie

This week has gone pretty well. I did well on the tests I got back 98 on calc and 97 on econ. I understand math because it's math and because the test itself was easy (28 As in the class) but I have no idea how I pulled that 97 in econ. I swear I barely understand the material, plus I have a hard time staying awake in class...I think part of it is that he writes ambiguous questions and is forced to award credit to everyone because the answers depended on how people interpreted the questions. I also did well on my sex trafficking paper, not that she graded hard, but still. It was interesting to write after a while, and this week we covered beauty queens. Watched one of those sad videos with teenage beauty queens that makes you pity them. Especially when their mothers are sitting there yelling at them for not being good enough or describing how their breast size just isn't good enough...it's sad.

What else happened this week. I scheduled classes for next semester. Not what I had originally, but good enough for now. I like all of them, and the times are pretty good, nothing too early (stupid 8 am discussions) or too late (I'm usually done by 2, done at 11 on fridays). I need to work on my japanese abilities some before next semester though, I really don't remember anything. I want to ask Michael or someone to see notes, just so I can know what I'm expected to know next semester. I recall liking the professor, so hopefully that will be good, but I don't expect to do too well, I am really not very good at it, but maybe practice will help me.

So, only a few classes separate me from Thanksgiving, most of them calculus. I'm excited about going home, seeing my family, my Bran, having a psudo birthday party. No doing any work. I really don't have much to do so that is good. I want to get my psych reading out of the way this weekend and maybe all that will be left is some swag reading. That shouldn't be too long or troublesome, often it's actually interesting.

I don't really have plans for this weekend. Probably gonna watch some movies. I was thinking about going shopping, getting some of my Christmas shopping done before thanksgiving. I have ideas for what to get people, so it shouldn't be too bad. Dad's gift is already ordered, I know where to go for mom's and Phill's, and Kate is usually easy. I don't know about friends. I guess I need a gift for Jess and Brandon, but I know what to get them too. This year's shopping shouldn't be so bad. I was thinking about making some food for my suitemates or something when I go home, just to be friendly, but that might not happen. They usually don't want to eat any of my food for some reason, even brownies and pumpkin bread which are so yummy. I could go for some yummy food now, I miss food that is yummy.

So, Katie sent my an IM saying that she and her friend were placed in my suite for housing next year. That is exciting. She was one of the people that I would have liked to apply with, but she wanted to apply to Brown. But now she's living with us anyway. Aside from the fact that I have to go up six flights of stairs to get to my room, and walk half an hour to get to class (I'm bringing a bike) next year is gonna be great. Next semester will be great too, because my classes all seem interesting, but just to me. I'm sure Linear Algebra doesn't appeal to most.

Well, I think that's about it. On to calculus!
