Hello again
It’s been quite some time since I’ve been here. Since it isn’t dead, I figured I’d make a post for the first time in a while.
Shannon and I are excited to see The Ocean Blue this evening. They’re playing a small below ground venue in downtown Phoenix called Valley Bar.
My recent interview with lead singer David Schelzel netted us the VIP treatment. Our friends Sam and Nigel will be with us. We get to catch sound check, meet the band, photo ops, exclusive merch. And the best part, a show in a small venue.
Afterward, off to Last Exit Live to watch a band from Detroit, Michigan called Crashing Cairo. I was first to play their music here in Phoenix on KWSS. It’s an alt-Rock LP-FM station here in Phoenix at 93.9 on the FM dial. I am the voice of Jay Cairo.
So that’s part of my day. Trust me, not every day will be as cool as this one will be.
Off to prep five hours of radio for Monday. If you read this and want to listen to me: www.kwss.org. Or the TuneIn app. On Mondays only, I’m on from 12-1 pm with the segment called Dani’s Diner. Dani is the host Tuesday to Friday and we play the best of the 70s/80s/90s for a solid hour. The Jay Cairo afternoon drive show is weekdays 3-7 pm.
