how pathetic. my hometown teams go into a depressing slide, and i am prompted to write haikus at 1:20 a.m. i guess that's what happens when your team loses twice at home to the worst team in the league, if not all of baseball. that makes 10 out of the last 11 games that Oakland has lost. the Giants aren't doing any better. they can't even beat the NL worst Florida Marlins. perhaps Pittsburgh actually holds that distinction, but neither of my teams can beat the lowlier teams currently, which isn't helping my mood.
especially when for the first time ever, i broke a toe (next to the pinky on my left foot) in the 5 a.m. hour Tuesday morning. i really should pay more attention to the bedroom walls. in this house, they tend to jump out at you from seemingly out of nowhere when you don't get enough sleep.
i didn't know it until Shannon looked at it after we got home from work Tuesday. it is black entirely. no wonder it hurts when i wore shoes and went about my day.
on a good note, i've been cigarette free for over a month. and "The Bug" is 102 days old.
