Sunday was more of a productive day. i did 2 loads of laundry, threw away some clothes, magazines, and other junk. i have a blue area rug that's barely been used, so maybe i'll see if the brothers Tofanelli might want it. they're already going to get my dining room table and entertainment center.
i also finished watching my Klaus Nomi dvd last night before i fell alseep. its so sad to think about the kind of life he must have had. yeah he was a freak, and he was German. we all know Germans aren't the most emotionally open people, so he lived his entire adult life devoid of knowing what real love felt like. as a result, he was one of the first 'celebrities' to die of AIDS. because the illness was still so new in 1983, his friends were naively afraid to even visit him while he was in his death bed. i wouldn't want to wish that on anyone. they say he was a lovely person, and he was extraordinarily talented. it was a very grounding experiencing, watching his story. i recommend this to anyone with even a slight interest in the avant garde.
