SBS 1 is showing documentary after documentary *glees* Just finished watching one on the "vampire disease" and vampire histeria in Austria in the 1700's which was fascinating. Centred around the so-called "vampire princess" Eleonore von Schwarzenberg. Now there's one on the walls of China which has some interesting Chinese and British interaction ( Read more... )

Was tailgated by one of those eighteen-wheeler semi-trailers, and almost run off the road by a fool who's pressing need to be Somewhere Very Fast lead them to lurch out into my lane on a blind corner in a poorly thought-out overtaking manoeuvre. Such are the joys of the Bass Highway.

Holy crap. I have been in Perth far too long to have forgotten what it's like to drive the bigger Highways. Not that we don't have our share of morons with licenses but just yeah. Scary.

This isn't even a big highway, but I think that's the problem - it's only two lanes most of the time so drivers get frustrated stuck behind slow-moving vehicles (lots of heavy transport trucks etc here).

But yes, home alive FTW! \o/

Oh transport trucks are fuuuun |D I work in an industrial area. Going to work is always an adventure with trucks on the road.
