reaching a well-rounded age

Jan 18, 2009 01:07

You are cordially invited to join Lynn Noel, Jeff Keller, and numerous
friends at the Skellig on Monday, January 19, as we inaugurate our new
monthly song session with a festive blow-out!

In addition to our (henceforth regular) sing, we will be celebrating
Burns Night for the Poet Robert Burns, various more recent birthdays,
the lengthening of the days, and various other occasions. We've been
officially cleared to run late this time (until at least 11:00pm) and
also to bring in cookies, should you feel inspired.

Waltham Center T-stop ~12 min. from Porter Sq. by Commuter Rail

Based on a traditional English pub sing, but with a bit of an American
flavor, this session is open to all singers who want to join in, with
chorus songs that are easy to learn and fun to sing. We love the fine
old drinking songs and know plenty of sea chanteys and chorus songs
from the British Isles and New England, but anything goes as long as
it's fun and easy. Bring a song to share, or just join on the chorus!

GUESTS, FOOD, & DRINK: The Skellig is a public house; please bring
anyone you wish. The bar will be open, and as usual for sessions,
those who would like dinner are invited to come at 6:00 and order from
the menu.
