Long time no see! :)
College is taking its dying lopes into spring break. All my tests and obligations are over, therefore I'm playing Pokemon White nonstop until I die or beat the Elite Four. I hope to be there by this time next week. Right now I'm in Nimbasa City, running between routes 4, 5 and 16 trying to get my team (+ stragglers) to level 30 before I challenge Elena. GET IT, GIRL.
Here's my party right now:
Seto, Servine♂, Level 27
Because he's always screwing the rules. I mean. Just look at that face.
- I love him for always being useful he is never leaving my active party ever.
- Unlike Chikorita, who is the only other grass starter I've used, I think Snivy is incredibly useful from the get-go. I loved Chikorita, but the poor thing had to be leveled up so much before you could count on it to pull punches. I really don't feel that way with Snivy. If I ever re-play, I'd definitely stick with this starter.
Grayson, Tranquill♂, Level 27
I name all my birds after Robins. Pidgeot in Blue was Nightwing, Pidgeot in Silver was Jay, Pidgeot in Crystal was Jaybird (game in same generation = same name? LOL at 10-year-old Kiwi), Swellow in Ruby was Drake, Staraptor in Diamond was Damian.
- FLYING TYPES ARE ALWAYS THE BEST AND YOU KNOW IT. (Except in electric gyms, sorry Gray you're going in the box for Elena.)
- I always get upset when I can't find my Pidgey, but the early, common flying types you pick up never really disappoint. Gust is surprisingly effective in most situations, and they learn another powerful flying-type move early (wing attack in the first four gens, now air cutter).
- Also I think Pidove, Tranquill, and Unfezant are the coolest looking birds since Pidgey, Pidgeotto, and Pidgeot, just saying. (Starly, Staravia, and Staraptor just kind of look HURR DURR and Taillow and Swellow were just meh, IMO.)
- I LIKE BIRDS AND I HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS ABOUT THEM. :')
Brego, Zebstrika♂, Level 27
After Aragorn's horse from LOTR! Uhm, the horse's name in the movie, not the books. I just really loved the name Brego.
- ELECTRIC ZEBRA THAT ALSO LEARNS FIRE MOVES WILL STOMP YOUR FACE.
- No seriously I will jump this thing and ride majestically into Mordor. SAURON TAKES ONE LOOK AT US AND BREGO WILL SHOOT LIGHTNING INTO HIS EYE. LIGHTNING THAT IS ALSO ON FIRE.
- What are physics hush.
Grodd, Panpour♂, Level 27
As in Gorilla Grodd? Named after a villain because I don't actually like Panpour, can't wait to evolve him.
- I don't like monkeys.
- I don't like water types.
- I need this thing to not die. :(
Irwin, Sandile♂, Level 23
A crocodile Pokemon named after Steve Irwin, quick, somebody stop the presses!
- I really love Sandile and all its evolutions, but I'm not quite sure if I'm just raising it up to beat the gym or if I'm legitimately keeping it in my party yet.
- Guess who's never raised a ground type before? :| Except Sandshrew that one time maybe?

The second I caught him I started having severe Tsubasa flashbacks. Uh.

IT LOOKS LIKE A CELL WITH A NUCLEUS, OF COURSE I NAMED IT AFTER MY FAVORITE AMINO ACID. /nerd

Clever people may have noticed that there are actually seven listed there. Don't worry about that. The way I play, I usually have two full parties, attempting to span as many types as possible. I say attempting because, in this game, I'm almost definitely going to double up on electric and grass types. Have you freaking seen Emolga lately? Come on. I need a fire type so bad it physically hurts, but all of them are ugly so far. WHERE MY AWESOME FIRE TYPES AT? D: And also, I am severely disappointed over the lack of Gastly so far. Bitchface, White, give me my ghost. The sooner I get to White Forest the freaking better. I CAN FINALLY GET MY SHINX BB COME TO ME~.
I should change my major to Making Long Unnecessary Posts About Fandom with a minor in Pokemon. :|
