So, umm, if you can't tell, I loved Cats. It totally, completely, and utterly kicked ass. And I don't just mean for a high school performance. I mean in general. Everyone knew what they were doing and when, the energy was always there, and the actors and dancers had perfect movement and crowd interaction. Mind you, this was a matinée so there were small children involved. Small children close to the stage. Small children directly behind me. Only semi-annoying. Marie made a great Rumpleteaser, Em blew me away as Grizabella, Joe needs to go into musical theatre period (and I'm so glad he's considering it and UArts, woot!), Francis was perfect and his role totally fit him but I so cannot remember the name of his cat. .:headdesk!:. Boggle Buddy, whatever shall I do now!? Anyways, I stuck around for a bit after the show to congratulate people and all. While just sort of hanging about with Joe and Francis a woman walked up.
Random Woman: You guys just did such a wonderful job today, congratulations. .:walks off:.
Me: Umm, I'm not in the cast but, uhh, thanks?
Joe: You know you would have been great if you had been in it.
Francis: Yeah!
Me: [sarcasm]Of course, nothing less.[/sarcasm]
Joe: You would have been a great Old Lady Deuteronomy.
Me: .:giggles!:.
Well, when I'm extraordinary, I've got to do extraordinary things, I suppose. (Pippin reference liek woah, yo!) Things like be considered part of a cast for a musical I know a grand total of one song for. XD I'm just that damn good. And sing a male part in my decidedly soprano voice. Can't forget that. So, anyways, Magical Mister Mistoffelees (aka Joe) and his sparkly purple coat are fuckin' LOVE, man! And that is why I'm going to go again next Saturday after fencing. And I'm dragging as many people with me as humanly possible. Or willing. Whichever comes first.
In other news, I, umm, saw people. People like Maria and Matt and Sarah and Joe and Andy and Fran and people I generally never see and that made me a happy child. Now I must go find the Cats soundtrack and personally give the MTA child Taylor's heart in a brightly colored and gift wrapped box, kthxbai.
