Log 14: Stronghold under siege

Mar 02, 2007 22:57

I need available units not currently engaged with the enemy to prepare for a possible pincer! The hospital has been invaded!

Colonel Curtiss, I need at least one of your contingents ready to evacuate the refugees; your division is closer to the entrances!

God-General, is it?

((OOC: He's finally here, so is the professor (although Suguru-mun is on hiatus) and they've got a small horde of Pokémon with them))

Sorry to leave you there like that. I'm afraid the situation continues to become more dire, and the sooner we act, the sooner we can save those who have been attacked.

You mean someone else was attacked by that Queen?

Yes... Satoshi was. I don't know why his creature friends weren't taken as well, but I only fear the worst for the boy. I need you to help them while I discuss what I've found to those leading the resistance.

I understand. No harm will come to them as long as they are under my protection.

I just hope whatever you and Professor Daimon have found will turn the tide of this war.

... That's right. I never did catch your name.

Then I suppose this is a mutual introduction. I am Commander Satsuma of the Digital Accident Tactics Squad. ...Or more accurately, was. But that fact is unimportant. I was told by Colonel Curtiss that if I found any information about the creatures attacking at the library to contact him.

Colonel Curtiss is currently resting while his fonon reserves replenish. Have you discovered anything important?

I'm inclined to believe that the history behind this "queen" and the secret of that island and its temple is quite important. I think the key to winning this war is learning from history.

((OOC: haha, coy and secretive as usual, cap. X3))

Island? Temple? Nothing like that has come to my attention before.

We do not have the luxury of time, Commander. We need plans that will yield results quickly--preferably instantaneously.

I'm trying, but the best plan that I can give in an immediate fashion is that we must find a way to go to Orzo and strike at the source-- rather, recount from history and try to seal this Queen and her army away once more. We may not be able to destroy her, and that's probably why the original peoples of this world did that in the first place.

As ideal as it sounds, the fact remains that we do not have the resources to spare more than a contingent to even dare push towards the coastline. We also have a responsibility to the injured and helpless that will hinder movementhere.

Until there is a feasible way to carry out your plan, Commander, we will need to consider other options first. Whatever options those may be.

I realize this. That's why I wanted to discuss this with the others and formulate a more organized attack plan. To simply rush in there without knowing exactly what we're doing would be suicide.

When Colonel Curtiss is available, speak to him. I do not like the idea of possibly dividing our forces in half to chase something that may or may not be out there.

Perhaps, and like you said, there could potentially be other options. I'm open to hearing suggestions to anything that could end this war and save the attacked.
