I was really tired yesterday after not figuring out what's wrong with an application I was trying to run on my machine and after fixing a certain error on one of the pages our client has on their website.
ruinai called me up and was asking to meet up while I was wrestling with those CRM and CMS issues. I just told her that I'd have to make it up to her next week by treating her to cream puffs and meeting up with her so we could have coffee. Anyway, I realized that our client won't respond to my emails anymore so I asked
jmibanez when we'd be watching "Up." He said we could try to catch it that night and we did settle for a 9:15pm showing of the movie in Greenbelt 3. He reserved tickets online so we could just pick them up before we eat dinner.
Good thing that we got our salaries released last night. Hooray for pay days! We ate at Baja, just to try something new. We ordered their supreme fries, a Baja chicken burrito for myself and a super grande burrito for him. We had no idea what to expect. The service was fast enough, IMHO. They immediately gave us our order of supreme fries. It was a plate of french fries topped with tomatoes, onions, guacamole, sour cream and chili. I loved how there was so much chopped tomatoes! The one who served us asked me if I wanted rice in my burrito and I said no because I wanted to try Red Mango's frozen yogurt. Having rice in the burrito will just be too heavy. Anyhow, JM and I ate the fries while we were waiting for our burritos. I told him that I hardly ate Mexican food because there weren't many Mexican food places where I live. And Mexicali was one place I've never eaten before. Ever. My friends and I never really went out for Mexican food, come to think of it. Anyway, my burrito got to me first and I started eating it when his order got to our table. It was one gorram huge burrito! They were right in calling it super grande! It was packed with rice, meat, beans and whatever else a burrito normally has. And it was so big that he didn't really know how to eat it. He can't just bite into it because it was just that huge. We were wondering if he could really finish it because he ordered a siding of chili con carne too. So yeah, after I finished my burrito last night, there was one third of the super grande burrito left which JM asked for the staff to pack up for him.
Before proceeding to the theater, I wanted to eat dessert at Red Mango. Kathy Co was raving to me about their yummy yogurt for how many weeks already and I became curious because there was a branch at Greenbelt 3 already. I got a small serving of green tea frozen yogurt and added toppings of red beans and almond mochi. Oh wow! It was so yummy! No wonder they would go there after lunch or during merienda. That cup of Red Mango frozen yogurt made me think that I should probably set aside money for that every so often. (LOL) Seriously. It is addicting. Too bad JM was so full because of the burrito. I am sure he would have liked it too if he was able to taste it. :)
We were a bit late for the animated short that was shown before "Up" because I savored my frozen yogurt. Anyhow, Glenn was right that I'd cry watching the movie. There was a series of scenes within the first 15 minutes or so that made me cry a lot. It was a hassle because I had 3D glasses on top of my actual glasses. And JM just held me then while I was crying. There were lots of funny scenes and lines, and there were scenes that made me cry. Dug was cute! He reminded me of Maya, our younger dog. And the kid, Russell, does remind us of Sheena - one of my fellow business analysts at work. I can't post any more spoilers though. Some of you might not have watched it yet. Go watch it! It's worth your time and money. :D
That is how Friday turned out. :) I am glad it turned out that way because the previous days were kind of meh except for me setting up
happyeclair.com + the
blog. Tomorrow I'd be going to Ocean Park with my family and Monday will be set aside for taking photos for
the Great LC-A Race. I belong to Team Asia 1, aka
+63. :D
