Adah supposed it was a good thing that she wasn't one who took travel particularly well, causing her to do nothing more than collapse on the bed of her room and take a nap after putting in a
quick phone call. There was a carnival, she knew, but she also knew that the ridiculous dance itself would be a carnival all of itself and she was supposed to be taking a break from the toiling cacophony of human interaction right now, wasn't she? So she arrived back in Fandom for the first time in months, and resolutely fell asleep, and she didn't regret it one bit. After all, there was only one person she was really that interested in seeing while she was here, and she was certain to see him.
...In not too long, actually. She'd awakened with more than enough time for a quick shower, and then spent more time that she would ever, ever admit to anyone getting ready. She probably would have made even more adjustments if it weren't for the fact that she didn't want to be caught in the act when the Eel came to pick her up, and if it weren't for the fact that she half expected to undo everything she'd just done five seconds into seeing him again.
She sighed, sitting on her bed in her blue dress, and trying not to fidget. She, instead, passed the rest of the time by going over the chemical formulas she knew that she should have been studying right now for the test awaiting her on Tuesday.
[[ for the Eel, of course! ]]
