I know...Its been a LONG time since I've updated. I'll try to get better, I promise!!! I read lj about twice a day usually, I just never post. I'll do a quick update.
The wedding: The wedding was beautiful!!! Almost everything went perfectly. The flower girl refused to walk down the aisle and had to be carried by her stepdad. That turned out to be so cute! The make up appointment was a disaster, giving me tarantula eyes and making me 45 min late to the lunch I had planned with the girls. Needless to say I was pissed! Every time I go into the mall and see that lady working, I remember the frustrated feeling. I REALLY wanted to just buy the lipstick, and go home to do my own makeup, but she wouldn't let me!!! Lunch was nice, and they had my baked potato soup which made me feel all better! At the reception, while we were still eating dinner, everyone was clinking their glasses for us to kiss. (I sware this happened about a million times! So, Erik decided that he would dip me for one of the kisses. Bad idea....I ended up on the floor!!! I wasn't hurt, and it was hilarious. At least no one will forget that part of our wedding! Everything else was perfect. We had an amazing day!!! The pictures are beautiful. If anyone wants to see, I can give you a link.
School: School is nice this year. L and B are still getting on my nerves like usual, but not as much. The kids are very well behaved, and I am so proud that I have my classes exactly where I'd like them to be with behavior. The problem is that most of them are so low, so I have to go really slow, which really frustrates me. On a whole though, its a good year so far.
Masters: I started taking Calc 3 and Algebraic Structures, working on my secondary math education masters. I realized that these two classes were going to stress me out like some of the others had. I hated leaving class every day feeling like the dumbest person on the earth. I've never had a problem with math, and it is still hard for me to accept that I can't always succeed in math classes. It was a very hard decision, but I changed my major to elementary education, and won't have to take anymore math. I never thought I'd be glad to say something like that. I have absolutely no idea when I'll be done because a lot of things have changed.
Other Things/Announcements: Erik and I found out on Monday night that I am pregnant!!! We are SO excited. Its been all I've been able to think about since finding out! I'm only 4 1/2 weeks along, so its still really early. So far, my due date is June 4th. I am just so excited!!! We weren't trying. I was on the pill, but it was a lower dose one. I guess the dose was just so low that it doesn't work. We've talked a lot and decided that if we don't get the Belgium slot that we're applying for (moving to Belgium next fall for 3 years) then we'll move to an apartment. We wouldn't have space for a baby here. There are only 2 bedrooms, and we have so much crap. It just wouldn't work. Have I mentioned how excited I am??? I haven't had too many side effects yet, but yesterday was a bad day. While walking in to school, I got my first taste of morning sickness. I didn't puke thanks to the goldfish crackers in my desk. I felt bad all day and had to munch on goldfish to keep the nausea away. I was really tired the entire day also. Hopefully today will be better than that. Erik has been so cute. He's doing everything for me. (like I'm disabled all of a sudden) I'm sure it won't last long, but its funny. I even scraped my thumb on the tape dispenser yesterday and came home with a band-aid. He was all worried for a little bit. lol
I have to go get ready to go now. I promise that I'll be better with updating!
