Waiting in line for Souvlaki today, the man in front of me, who was holding a young boy, spun around and began making an educational tool of me.
"So, son, is this a boy, or a Man?"
Boy eyes me suspiciously. Man expounds on my paradoxical nature. I grin awkwardly.
"He's got stubble on his chin, yet he's still got baby fat"
"He's tall like a man, but he's wearing a school uniform"
"He's buying his own food, but he won't even speak for himself"
Boy glares. He can't decide, and that angers him. He gets so frustrated he buries his face in Man's chest, refusing to look at me. Man does, though, derisively, before his meal arrives and he carries it off.
This is the most surreal experience I've had all week. What can I say, it's been a slow week.
