i am so boring with my historical reports of old enemies.

Voltage is a planet that exists in a galaxy without a sun. (1) Because of this, the planet itself is very dark and covered in ice. Species who visit the planet must wear protective gear and make special arrangements so as to not freeze to death. Spending extended amounts of time on Voltage is almost impossible.

The only dominating species known on Voltage are the Voltage. Their bodies are made purely of light, being able to switch their outward appearance at will to whatever wave they feel appropriate, and making it possible for them to survive in a galaxy without a sun. This is often exhibited when taking damage by an enemy.

Physically, there is an extremely large population. However, telepathically there is only one of them(2). The Voltage seem to operate on a sort of wavelength similar to a beehive. This is one of the reasons they have such a superior intellect and can keep their soldiers in line. All soldiers who think wrongly are instantly noticed and punished in any number of ways.

The Voltage reproduce by laying their eggs in living hosts. The hosts serve as an incubator until the eggs hatch. In some cases, the young will burst violently out of the host's body when it's time to be born. In others, they will leave without giving notice that they ever existed (3).

Some of the key characteristics of the Voltage include patience (as seen in their previous invasion attempts extending for 60+ years(4)) and an intense superiority complex over the entire universe, often calling other species as "it" and deeming them unintelligent. They make no effort to socialize with outside planets and have no known allies. The Dolphins can't stand them.

In combat, the Voltage are a dangerous enemy. Some of their abilities include but are not limited to: shapeshifting(5), invisibility, possibly mind control(6), and an ability they call Post-Pwnage (7).

In 2071 (because time never passes, ever.) they began making obvious moves on the planet Earth, claiming to have intentions of taking over the entire solar system but because Earth is an easy target what with being planetarily unaware, they chose to act there first.

The Voltage were destroyed when Shinigami Reina led a group to Voltage and destroyed the "queen", but were later revived when their incubated eggs hatched and jump started their species once again.

3. It's possible that in most cases they are violent in their escapes, but because their species was previously extinct prior to their hatching they left as cautiously as possible to avoid taking any damage.
4. Yoruru: It:ll be easy for Voltage to inhabit the entire universe like this. What with us having had soldiers on every planet for 60 years. ^^
5. Yoruru: Makes you really doubt who real and who not, doesn't it? We're pretty good at hiding our true selves if you ask me. I mean, really, for all you know, your cousins could be Voltage. ( 7/19/2007 9:48:02 PM)
6. Yoruru: Those scientist guys are way too easy to control. We can make their heads hurt, we can make them involuntarily transform.....we can even make them attack you right now if we wanted to. (7/19/2007 11:01:33 PM)
7. I don't actually have a reference for this, but I remember it. Muhyo was attacked in the first encounter with the enemy but was dealt zero damage (what is this, a video game?) until the meeting with Yoruru a day or so later. Yoruru claims that the attack can last up to a million years if that's what they want. There's no limit to the length of a post-pwnage attack.
