so i feel like updating or something..
i work alot. last week i worked 46 hours. this week will prolly be more of the same. but amazingly enough i love it. i have fun. i look forward to going in every day. yeah, telling people that we're still out of the new Lil Jon cd gets old, as does explaining the difference between widescreen and fullscreen, as does always having to point out wich hillary duff cd is the newest one, as does trying to convince customers that new releases only come out on tuesdays and no i can't get you a copy of Shark Tales out of the back because it is monday.. but i do get to sell digital cameras and portable dvd players and the like. oh and i am now officially a permanent employee. not seasonal anymore. the store manager asked me himself a few nites ago. i'm actually relied on at work. it's weird. my entertainment supervisor prints out the depts numbers and shows them to me and congratulates me. it's kinda strange. even the district music/movies/books manager knows who i am [i still havn't met him though] and is amazed how good of a job i do.. go figure. anyway. enough about work.
i'm still lookin for a roomate and/or a cheap efficieny or 1 bedroom sometime around my birthday [wich is in about a month just FIY] let me know.
i've still been listening to nearly nothing but face to face the past few days. not sure why. i guess i'm getting bored with music again. and even stranger.. i want some misfits records again. i can't find my collection II cd. weird.
tomorrow nite [tuesday] go to emos and see Mastadon and my new favorite local band the Sword. chris alaniz and i will be there. buy us beer.
here's a current play list because i feel so inclined:
- Face to Face 'don't turn away' and 'reactionary' and the s/t record
- the Mastadon and Queens of the Stone Age cds chris made me
- my Fucking Champs cds nerdrockjosh finally gave back to me
- the obligatory Maiden and Hammerfall
- a spattering of At the Gates and Bodom
- and for a change of pace i'll break out the Flock of Seagulls and Men without Hats and Berlin records.
ummmmmmm what else.
here's a quick christmas list:
- iPod
- contacts
- nirvana box set
[none of wich i will get. though my dad sounded pretty keen on the idea of contacts.. i told my mom about the nirvana box set but by judging the size of the packages i just recieved from her, i dont think i did. and the iPod.. haha yeah right.]
- oh, and a lump of coal too.
2005 has the potential to be one of the best years ever for me...
that is all for now.
