Yay! I'm so happy ♥ Yuzu will have a new single [Sakurae/My Life] out next week. And the songs are lovely~

Popular folk duo Yuzu have planned the release of their first 2010 single and a new PV collection DVD for February 3rd.

Sakurae/My Life, as the single is titled, is the duo's first single release single Niji, which came out in September. Each member took care of the full composition of one of the title tracks. Kitagawa Yujin was responsible for Sakurae, while Iwasaka Kouji composed My Life, which has been chosen as the newest CM song of "Duskin".

Regarding the DVD, it will follow the duo's trademark series "Rokkasen" and will be called Rokkasen Niji. The music videos of five singles, from Yesterday and Tomorrow to Niji, will be included on the disc, as well as the PV of Haruka (the title track from their most recent album FURUSATO) and two tomo, released under the name Yuzuguren, a special unit formed by Yuzu and Kimaguren. 桜会 Sakurae PV. I feel this is the better song out of the two. Oh gosh, I don't know how to describe the feeling I get when I listen to this. It just makes me smile so much. The traditional instruments they use as accompaniment enhances the whole listening experience. I have a feeling the lyrics are going to be pretty meaningful too. My chest fills with happiness I dunno, or perhaps freedom when I listen to this song.

The PV is unique, very YUZU. Filled with warmth, with people, with smiles and with music. Not to mention, I love the countryside and admire the people living hand in hand with their culture. All the more making me like this PV. Oh yay, for another awesome YUZU piece.

MY LIFE radio rip. Just by the title, I'm sure the lyrics are very meaningful. It's a good song but less exciting than the A-side track. But it has so much YUZU flavour in it.

On a side note, I'm excited for a PV for Haruka because it was my favourite song from the album FURUSATO.
