Everything I've ever done was out of fear of being mediocre.

~ A quote from Chet Akins

Ah~ such an apt quote. The best way to take your mind of things, and when you have nothing to write about.. is to do memes :)) cunningly learned from quartered Meme snagged from her ♥

Post your top fifteen bands/artists, the first song you heard of theirs, the song that made you fall in love, and your current favourite.

Not necassarily in order.. )

Ah Yiruma. I listen to his music a lot when I'm stressed out/trying to sleep.

Hirai Ken's another big favorite when I'm feeling sorry for myself.

Do you by any chance like Alan?

yay~ I can really relate to listening to Yiruma to calm yourself XDD And Hirai Ken has a good voice!!

I think alan's songs are good on first listen. Especially her orientalish songs. But I can't really feel the warmth in her voice.. and her voice is too shrill, I've listened to better Tibetan genre singers (particularly in regards to the tibetan wail)^^ Her live singing is pretty bad, very shaky compared to the recorded version XD But ppl think she's pretty, so she's getting very popular now. keke..

Simon & Garfunkel! Oh my...I was just lamenting the fact that many people do not even know of them these days.

I just attended their LIVE in Tokyo. I would have preferred it unplugged, with just Paul Simon on his guitar...but I take anything I can get!

I love "Old Friends", especially the line 「Can you imagine us years from today, sharing a park bench quietly? How terribly strange to be seventy...」

But I pretty much love almost all their hits, and even the lesser known ones.
