那些女孩教我的事 (The Things Those Girls Taught Me) - This song is about the singer reminiscing about all the first things he had learned from the various girls he had fell in love with. These memories make him wonder how they are now. This is an ok-ish song for me, it sounds exactly like some of Pin Guan's previous songs. It is a ballad, hence his voice is smooth and soothing here. Not the best song in terms of tune though.
漂流 (Floating) - Another ballad, this song is about how the singer believed at first that freedom meant wandering far of, later realising that he feels lonely without the one he loves. As usual, Pin Guan's voice is well fit for ballads, hence a nice, slightly sad melody.
最好的朋友 (Best Friend) - One of my favourite songs in this album. Great tune and lyrics. Pin Guan's voice really fits well with this ballad. This song is about two people who are no longer best friends because each have moved on in life. The ending line sings ' Why does the best person become just a passer-by..'
1+1+1 - A more upbeat and jovial song although the lyrics is about how life has become like a rat race, and the singer has become sick of that routine. I have yet to determine the exact meaning of 1+1+1, read as one plus one plus one. As what I gather, it may mean having to always be on top of things or that he is just sick of spending his life sleeping, working and eating only.
半生熟 (Half-Cooked) - A duet between Pin Guan and Penny Dai. As you can guess, this is a love song, more on the sweet side than having the bitterness of the first two tracks. They describe their relationship as 'half-cooked', not too overboard yet not too dull. What else can I say, cute and sweet.
小白很乖 (Good Xiao Bai) - Another of my fav song after track 3. A slow beat but lovely song. However, I haven't found the lyrics. What I can gather from just listening is his ex-girlfriend named 'something' Xiao Bai and the singer is assuring her that he and Xiao Bai are alright after she left. An interesting song to translate though, recomanded song to listen.
I'm running out of time.. haha.. 卿卿爱我我 (Darling Love Me) is not my cup of tea. Some of the tracks after that are pretty good though, especially 美人尖 (Beauty Tip). That track has an oriental feel to it. Overall, an easy to listen album. Enjoy!
