Here's some contemplation on one of my favourite pairings ever (next to, you know, Harry/Draco), because I'm bored at work, and instead of finishing the fic I need to get done, I'm blaring music on my ipod and letting my mind wander. I'm an excellent employee. Am home now and just posting what I typed at work. Because that's what I do.
(
i wasn't looking for nobody till you looked my way )
Myself, I'm from the doing-it-from-the-start school of thought but that's not something that radically change my point of view of Jack/Ianto. It just makes what they have a bit darker or muddier. Since it wasn't exactly rainbows and kitten, it just doesn't matter.
If you look at Jack's POV, it's the lack of sex which would have look suspicious. Ianto threw himself at Jack repetitively with the coat and the you smell good lines. And so now what ? Ianto's got the job, they keep flirting and no one will convince me that it was enough for Jack and that he didn't ask for more.
Bought the 1st season dvds a few weeks ago and in the second episode, Gwen is asking everyone (and asay something but stop himself ( maybe before spilling about his office romance)
If you look at Ianto's POV, no matter how guilty he would have feel, if he programmed himself to think sex with jack = obvious jack he would have done it, with extra effort to please Jack in everyway and repressed the guiltiness for later. In Cyberwoman, he's not guilty, he's more like angry that Jack never guessed, never find out before it was too late and messy.
(and Jack isn't dumb, he just have a blind spot in the form of about people he cares for. See John, Gwen, Gray, the Doctor, Rose, Martha and Ianto... they could all get away with genocide as long as theiy are safe)
Ianto : ...No questions asked and that's the way you like it
I always saw that part of the quote as sexually connoted. Ianto is saying that sleeping with Jack did bring its part of disillusions. He's clearly hurt that Jack was the style of guy dumping you out of his bed at 3am and not worrying about finding a cab for you.
I'm sure he never asked what Ianto was doing in the middle of the night in the hub (knowing oblivious!Jack, he probably thought Ianto was here to get him)

Jeez, my sentence makes no sense *___*. You had to read of course :
Bought the 1st season dvds a few weeks ago and in the second episode, Gwen is asking everyone (with an annoying smugly tone) if they are seeing someone. Jack turns around and is about to say something, but stop himself (maybe before spilling his gut about how kinky is the office romance he's having just under their nose)
