Long Day
I realized today that I hadn't posted anything on this journal yet, and in the spirit of procrastination I've decided to remedy that problem.
Today was just a long day. I'm not sure why; I didn't even class today - just work. But the stupid fire drill occurred at around 9:30 this morning (and I didn't have to be anywhere until 1), and then it was back to work for 3 hours. Work itself wasn't bad, but it was hard to get into "work mode." At least it's the first week so there wasn't too much to do. Then I met a few friends for dinner, that was fun at least. Now, I'm back at my apartment debating between finding research for my independent paper ( = Master's thesis) and looking up websites for class discussion tomorrow.
The thesis has me worried so I'm currently loving my caffeine (Coke Zero is amazing) and junk food. This lovely paper determines whether or not I get my diploma - no pressure there... At least for the next three weeks I only have to work on the proposal with a detailed annotated bib. The research is going to be the bitch, but I'll probably have to revise it after it goes to committee anyway.
Also, it's freezing here, which isn't helping matters. I'd love to just turn up my music and curl up with a book or something. I don't think my professors would appreciate that though (neither would my grades).
*sigh* I suppose I've procrastinated enough - research it is.
Here's to hoping the rumors are true and it is worth all this to be able to put letters after my name ;-)
