The last couple of days I've had this terrible pain in my mouth that I attributed to a wisdom tooth coming in. I figured I was teething again, but this time the pain was different; not sore as per usual, but really really piercing pain. Finally I couldn't stand it, it hurt to eat, swallow, talk, I haven't been sleeping because it hurts so I went to my dentist. He takes one look and says
"Ok...I'm 90% sure you're going to need antibiotics". So he takes some X-rays and comes back in a few minutes later.
"Yeah, you've got a pretty nasty infection, that tooth is gonna have to come out." He gave me a prescription for penicillin and Tylenol with codeine. He said "take four at once to start" "Four?" "Four, and then one four times a day until they're done. Here's the numbers and referrals to two oral surgeons in Davis, go ahead and have Sheila give 'em a call for you because that needs to come out as soon as possible." "Geez, how bad is this infection?" "...Well...it could have been worse..."
"OK. Thanks, Dr. Kampf." He's a very good man. He has given me blessed relief. I can soon eat again...ooooo as I write the codeine is kicking in and gooooood.
So the time has come. They're allllll coming out!
Oh, and Amtrak sucks. They were two hours late today. Blech!!!
