Between the bars

I read an article about writing to prisoners. There are sites that have ads of the prisoners who seek penpalls. I remembered only one of these sites; Prisonpenpalls.net. Many of the ads are quite hysterical(ly funny). But actually I'm trying to find someone to write, maybe, and most surely not from that site. My curiosity always goes beyond what's sensible.

I wonder: is it coincidence that most of the ugly looking people have committed serious crimes like murder or rape? Though, there’s this very well written “ad” and the guy doesn’t look bad. He seems very, very intelligent and socially skilled. That’s why it didn’t surprise me when I read his conviction, which was: murder. The most known characteristic of a psychopath is hers/his social talents. Not to say that all socially gifted people are psychos. But yes, that is a quality which can make me very suspicious. Which is kind of funny, since the society thinks that the quiet, shy and maybe gloomy people are more likely to be the villains.(-perhaps that's why I've been called a "future serial killer" in our school.)

I’m pro long captivity(-sentence for life for murder 1st degree, minimum of 20 years for rape), if it is sure that the conviction has been a rightful one. There’re always some wrong decisions, that’s why I’m anti death sentence. Sadly in Finland, a life sentence can be reduced to ten years or something like that. Finland is completely out of it on this area. An example: a man gets six months for child molestation while a graffiti painter gets one year and a half. Justice in this? Even though the man had been dating the girl(14 years old) , I think the crime is far more serious than the painting of a graffiti. In America the sentences of drug possession and/or selling and theft are much too severe in my opinion. I’m not aware of the situation in Finland. (-after all, I only live here. x) But then there's the grey are of assaults/wounding and burglary.

II. E.S Posthumus: Nara
-with a slightly different production in different parts, this could be even better song. But it's nice none of the less.
