I ***adore*** the boosh, and it's got some killer moments, but generally, that dvd seemed (to me) as poorly done and only well received because we're all such fanboys of the tv/radio shows.
I heard the radio shows first - which the 1st TV series is mostly based on, but there's also quite a few changes that make it worth having both if you like 'em.
I do adore the boosh, I think it's possible that I expected too much / the wrong thing from the live show - everyone I know who's seen it live said it was awesome, it might just have translated to DVD worse than I'd imagined.
I just saw it blind with no previous so I didn't have any expectations at all other than, "My mates keep raving about this, I'll check it out". I actually saw part of an episode of series two on the TV and thought, WTF? It was the section in the desert where they were searching for the mojo, which in isolation made no sense at all, hence I thought it was bollocks. I didn't bother about it until Lucy got the live DVD.
