October 1st - CANDY CORN SEASON IS HERE!!!
Ladies and Gentlemen....boys and girls of all ages! It is that time of year again...the time when you can sit down with a can of coke in front of your TV or computer...and enjoy the delicious flavors of Americas favorite seasonal treat - Candy Corn!
There have been a great many changes in candy corn over the years. No longer do you have just 1 or 2 choices out there. You can choose from a variety of flavored candy corn...I have a bag of smores candy corn on my desk! The biggest announcement this year, however, has to be the newest addition to the candy corn family. Chocolate. Covered. Candy. Corn.
I know what you're thinking! Chocolate? On CANDY CORN! OMG HOW COULD IT GET ANY BETTER! I must say it does have a pretty good taste to it. The chocolate coating is think and rather resembles the sort you will find on raisins. Go check it out!
I did want to impart some wisdom with you this year about your candy corn selection. Over the years I have sampled a great many varieties and brands of candy corn. Each has their subtle or not so subtle differences in taste and texture. So Adam, you ask, how do I know what candy corn to choose!
Well each person has their own preferences...but I find that candy corn that has a rough texture on the outside (not glossy smooth) typically has a better taste. This is the kind that you can break in half with your fingers. Some brands are towards the chewy side.
