Thinking of a Walk

I imagine I can do it in about 4.5 days, though 3.5-4 days would be better...though I would only walk when the sun was high enough (depending on the part of the trip) I'm still going through the path to make sure it doesn't put me on the highway, which google likes to do.

I'm not sure what I'd pack (some kind of change of clothes, enough snacks and liquid for...half a day?, some bandaids, flashlight), and I'd try and stay at a hotel/motel at night....which means I have to make an estimate so I make sure I'm in a town at the end of the day that has ah (h/m)otel haha...

Not sure about shoes*. I'd want a sneaker, maybe the somewhat old pair I have right now, since they're worn in for me (and then they'd be retired).

Also I'd wonder if I could turn this productive somehow. Someone on a message board said I could make it a Man-Talk to Montauk, talking to men about Prostate Cancer. Amusing...but no.

*Speaking of shoes...well, I'll have another post about clothing/shoes another time.
