I know it's not the good moment, and I know we are all broke these days but after all... I thought it was a very touching cause, simple and efficient. She doesn't ask for millions, she just would like to reach 200$ before December 20th and that's not difficult at all if we all give a little and/or spread the word.

here what it's about :
One of my housemates works with/at a local homeless shelter for teens. From what she's said, they run around 15-20 kids at any time, and several of them live there on a fairly permanent basis.
Here's the thing. These kids pretty much don't have anything new, and the vast majority of their clothing and belongings are donated. Sounds pretty ok, right? Yeah, if you're interested in wearing clothing that's several years out of date, or about three decades too old for you - nobody really wants to dress like they're sixty when they're sixteen. Not to mention, can you imagine wearing second hand bras and panties?
You might be aware that I've got a seasonal job at Lane Bryant. This is awesome, for a number of reasons, but the key one here is that I've asked for and been given permission to use my 40% employee discount for the plus-sized girls who live at this shelter. I'm planning on hitting up Victoria's Secret or even Macy's in our mall this week and seeing if they'll match this discount as I'd really really like to get all the girls who live at the shelter some underwear that's never been used, is in their size, and is pretty.

here. For sure we still can decide not to believe her and think she just wants to make money out of it and selfishly use it to buy herself some caviar. Or we can stop being paranoid capitalists and well... try to offer never used panties to a group a american kids who will really appreciate it.
