Whooooboy.

So yesterday was fun (Sorry I'm behind, gomen gomen! Hee.) I went up to Macminnville to help one of my roommates work on the car (glad I'm at least a mechanically inclined phin, even if I'm not a hardcore mechanic.) Woke up at 7am to do so. We went to Fry's while we were up there -- it was fun. I always love pilgrimages to Fry's. I have a floppy 3.5 disk drive again, so my camera can actually transfer pictures. So soon, I'll be posting pictures...ahhh, somewhere at least. ^(_)^

It was a pleasantly relaxing day -- spent from roughly noon until 7/8pm being zoned, idlish, savoring a game with my roommates, talking to people, again randomly, simply 'kicking back' as they say. Until we all decided we were hungry. Mmmh, food. Well, we came to a consensus -- let's grab some KFC! Simple enough. There's one right down the road from us, on south Commercial Street. We went over there, and were greeted with a long line, but we waited. Lines aren't bad and KFC is good. The good outweighs the other.

We get to the counter. No acknowledgement of our presence. Employees continue about whatever they were doing before we stepped up -- talking in the back (within our view), running back and forth, tending to the drive-thru, cleaning, etcetera. Now, I know about being busy, and I don't normally have a problem with it...but as a customer service professional myself, I know that you also at least -greet- the customers and tell them that you're having difficulties (whether it be staffing, food-stock, etc), and that you'll be with them in a few moments. Except that never came. They never even looked at us.

People passed the register, in front of which we were standing, and -nothing-. Not a glance, a smile, a hello, anything. Maybe I'm just being touchy, but when I go somewhere to spend my money for whatever, I at least like to have my presence acknowledged in some way, shape or form. Go figure. Anyways. So yeah. In my opinion, bad customer service there.

In other news....heh...

Today was gonna be a day off, but my manager seems to really need my help, so I'm gonna give her a hand. Hey, more hours on this skimpy week, and I like being around my manager -- she rocks. And she's offered to pick me up so I can get there quickly, so I'm down with that. I shouldn't be gone -too- long -- it's not a normal shift, just taking care of moving some stuff. ^(_)^

Take care everyone. ^(_)~
