Bwaaaah.
Wow, today's sucked. There was the crap this morning (although that seems to have blown over), then as a result of me posting my entry and doing those renegade dishes I had in my room, I had no time to pack my lunch or eat breakfast. It -sucked-. At any rate...I had a crazy day at work...all kinds of crazy box-shifting and moving, rearranging my stockroom..but I'm proud of how it came out.
But anyways, I digress. Today was the day. Our General Manager sat down and talked to me...and gave me the...less than delightful news. I was granted a raise, sure. To SSA's starting pay >(_)< from what the Aquarium was paying me. Sure, sure, I know...I should be pleased that I got a pay increase. But -fuck-...to tell me you're immensely pleased with the hard work I'm doing and then hand me a measley 8.50 an hour instead of the 8.16 I was making, when the payscale for a stockperson under SSA is 8.50-10.50 an hour (and there are certain people from a certain organization that were brought in because a certain supervisor came from their previous workplace, and are being paid a considerable amount of money more than I am..for doing the same job or -less-) ..well, fuck. I find that downright insulting. Especially since I've basically become the custodian for the bookstores on top of everything else.
...wow, I'm bitchy, aren't I? Oh well. I'm frustrated. But it's okay. Believe it or not, I'm fairly calm and relaxed right now. ^(_)^ Gonna hit some FFXI methinks. I'll be around though, and stuff.
