Notes toward nothing

Taking Old Yeller behind the shed was probably a bit more emotional than what I did. I killed Notes today. I did it thinking about something that happened to me when I was writing an article which, sadly, never got published, but which I thought was pretty damn good. One of my sources found it and refused to talk until I assured them that Notes

It makes me sad.
Several people from Oberlin are taking steps so that possible employers and business contacts won't find writings from their college days online. But even as I wish it didn't have to be that way, I find myself thinking maybe I should make my livejournal friends only.

Friends only lj isn't the same. I know there are other reasons I don't write anymore, but I think going friends only surely contributed to the demise of my journal. Which I would still like to write in more again at some point... I don't know, I'd rather have a public blog but there are too many professional reasons not to.
