snowy sunday
i love that my mom just absolved me from the pile of housework to be done today. "don't you have a new wide-angle lens you should be out playing with?"
awesome.
i think sometimes, i need to step back on not put so much pressure on myself to have a perfect and clean house. after all, i'm hardly ever here.
i'm also thinking that i will take mom's housecleaner up on the incredible deal so offered me. with my work schedule (and lately, dating schedule) it is too much for me to do. having someone come in and just vacuum and clean the bathroom would be pure heaven. that's all i care about anyway.

things that make me happy, day 3 ~ the saturday edition
#1 - i've reached a level of comfort with myself to meet new people and talk and chat and not feel like i have to read them and be something else, their idea of a perfect person. it's a lot less exhausting. and enjoyable.
#2 - Chez Feeney rocks my socks. even with the public humiliation of displaying my incredible lack of coordination when it comes to playing video games, i know that the snickers behind me from Ali are her laughing near me, not at me. ;) i love talking until my throat is sore, and huge hugs and kisses from an amazing 6 year old. (6??? i'm still trying to wrap my brain about when that happened!) to think it all started with a random postcard back in 2001...
#3 - Indian food from Punjab Cafe! ZOMG, so good!
#4 - for Michael sacrificing himself and his car in fetching his most loathed smell in the world, Indian food. this is true love in action, a man swimming through shark-infested waters to bring his love a glass of iced-tea. in makes you all warm and fuzzy to see this commitment and devotion in action, and gives a damn high bar for other males to live up to.
#5 - being able to listen to my iPod in my car. it's still not the most ideal set-up, but being able to crank Poe at top volume as i slip through the first hints of snow late at night and watch the temperature droop from a balmy 22 in Quincy to 8 degrees in my driveway .
