Maris gave me a bunch of lavender on Sunday, so it is currently hanging in the kitchen to dry and making the house smell good. I made chai with a Mengku ripe puer, lavender flowers, orange peel, cardamom and cloves. It was very tasty. I think I'll skip the cloves next time.
I got a set of 5 matching cups to go with my new brown and white gaiwan. This lets me bring a second gaiwan to work while still keeping one at home. This is useful because sometimes I want to switch up what tea I'm drinking without having to throw out the leaves, which may still have lots of flavor left in them. I only need one gaiwan at home because I have lots of teapots.
