I find it hard to believe that I have been here for three weeks now. When I first arrived I was greeted so warmly, I almost felt like I was being welcomed home after a long journey! The people here are amazing, everyone getting by after having their memories taken from them... it is truly an inspiration ( Read more... )

It seems that there are more and more families that come here, regardless of how close they might be.

Is that so? You did mention having a son the first time we met. Do you get along with him?

About as well as can be expected. He's not quite as antagonistic towards his elders as most his age, but he's got quite the independent streak.

He does, hmm? How old is he?

He should be 13 in a few months, if memory serves. I'd introduce him, but he seems to be fairly... prolific around the island.

He's not much younger than Erk, in that case. I wonder if they'd get along...?

Prolific, you say? How so?

Ah, so you'd be Erk's mother. I can't say I've met him directly myself, but Jr. speaks quite highly of him. However... not as well as you'd hope, I'm afraid. Lately, it seems all he's capable of doing is irritating your son.

I typically mention him and most times, people have already met him.

I am, yes! Though I haven't remembered him myself quite yet... Erk seems to be irritated by your son? How odd. I'll have to ask him about it at some point. The boy is so serious, perhaps he just has trouble relaxing around others.

He's a friendly young gentleman, I take it?

Don't get me wrong, they can be rather good friends. Jr., on the other hand... I'm under the impression that Jr.'s mouth sometimes moves a step faster than his brain.

Perhaps, but I do know that he opened up around a knight by the name of Agrias. A pity she disappeared, she was a good sort.

To you? More than likely. He's quite mature beyond his appearance. He may be somewhat wild and unable to sit still on occasion, but he has more manners and tact than you'd sometimes expect from him after witnessing such things.

I'm beginning to understand. Erk seems to be the type to take everything seriously, while your son is quite the opposite. Still, that is often the basis for strong relationships, is it not?

Lady Agrias? I... see...

You speak of him fondly. I can tell he means a lot to you.

Opposites attract? If I recall correctly, it was something more like "opposites attract because one of them was very loud inside a library." Still, he is my son. I imagine it'd be stranger if I didn't care.

...did I hit a sour note regarding the knight?

That must have been an incredible first meeting!

Not quite. It isn't Lady Agrias that... *sigh* I'm not sure how to go about discussing this. How much of Erk's condition were you aware of?

You'll have to ask one of the two about it for more.

I was only made aware a few minutes ago that he was supposed to be male. Can't say I saw that coming.

I shall! I'm quite looking forward to hearing this story.

I'm not surprised. He probably didn't tell many people about it, and now that he's back to normal... well, there's bound to be surprise and confusion.

So what would the connection be to Agrias that turned the conversation sour? As far as I knew, the two were close.

They were. Very close, in fact. If you weren't aware, it seems that Lady Agrias has disappeared from the island, and now... Erk believes that she was the one poisoning him in order to keep him in the form of a woman.
