Oh goodness... this place is strange and so unfamiliar! I don't recall ever seeing it before. Ah... Oh dear, I... can't seem to recall anything at all, for that matter! How very strange!

Louise? That's all I can seem to focus on. It must be my name, I suppose. It does feel right ( Read more... )

Louise? Why does that name sound familiar?

Erm, hello, miss. Are you alright? Has anyone explained what's happened to you?

I believe I'm fine, aside from the memory loss. Thank you for your concern, milady!

A few people have mentioned that the amnesia is normal, yes.

Oh, uhm, you can call me Yomiko if you like...

Yes, unfortunately, the amnesia seems to be common. Memories return in time though... I've been told.

But this place isn't bad! They give you a place to stay and food to eat and there are lots of other good things here!

Just Yomiko? Are you sure, milady?

Well, as long as they return, it can't be so bad!

It sounds just lovely! Thank you for telling me all about the island!

She called me "milady" too...

Oh yes, Yomiko is just fine. Please, let me know if there is anything at all that I can help you with...

[Because she can't help herself] The library here is wonderful, too.

If you're sure, Yomiko. Thank you so very much for the help!

Oh, truly? I shall have to look into the library for myself, then!

Oh, it's no trouble, really...

Yes, it is... *soft smile* It's an enormous building, filled with so many books that I don't think I could read them all even if I did nothing but read for the rest of my life. And there are many very interesting subjects and works of fiction. I work there as an aid... I'd be happy to show you around sometime...

*listens, smiling* You must truly love books a great deal. You speak of them with such fondness!

I'd love to take you up on that offer!

Yes, I do... sorry, I do tend to prattle on... I'm sure you've got many other questions about Memento Eden...

There's no need for apologies, milady. It makes me happy indeed to see someone so passionate! Many of my questions have been answered, so it's no problem at all.

Thank you very much! I'm sure someone as kind and sweet as you has many friends as it is, correct?

Yes... I've been blessed with some very wonderful friends here. They've reassured me when I've been worried... they brought me books and food when I was sick... and they tolerate my endless ramblings about books. I only wish some day I might be able to repay them for all of their kindness...

I'm sure that you returning their friendship is more than enough, dear.
