Deciding whether or not I want to do the Halloween thing this year. It's not so much because of what happened last year, but it's more like... I don't know. Don't know if I'm really feeling it, I guess

I'm not sure I understand this "feeling it" thing. Is it you don't enjoy costumes?

I don't have a particular feel one or the other for this, but I'm dressing up as that is what my wife wants for us. I hope it might be fun.

Ah, I usually enjoy Halloween. I just can't seem to care for it this time around.

Well, this is my first Halloween, so forgive me, but is all one does is dress up? Or is there more to the event?

Also, what happened last year?

That's part of it. Children dress up and go from house to house to get candy, which they call "trick-or-treating." People go to haunted houses and other haunted attractions. It's about the dead and the undead, as well as ghosts and... anything horror and "scary" to people. Personally, I love scary and ghost stories any time of the year, but it's a big thing during this holiday.

And last year around this time was just horrific... a lot of people were hurt and killed because of a nasty curse.

Oh! I'm not much into scary things, myself. But the dressing up part seems harmless enough.
