Who: Alex
Where: Captain’s Quarters
Summary: After witnessing the death of a fellow passenger, the captain’s daughter Alexandra is shoved into the secluded crew quarters. After all, who goes down there in flight anyway?
“Ew.” Was the first word out of the teenagers mouth when she sat up and caught her bearings. Because across from the bed that she had been unceremoniously dumped upon was the body of a fellow passenger. He was covered in blood, most of it coming from the common kitchen knife through his forehead. Alex had to stifle one scream and then another as she realized her shirt was covered in blood. She pulled it off and threw it on the body, running to the small cramped bathroom and throwing her bloody hands under the sink tap.
She realized that this wasn’t the ordinary quarters for crew, and in fact it was the Captian’s. Hope filtered though her for a moment until she realized her father was the least likely to come down here for any reason. But he would have left someone useful in here. She finished her hands and washed the blood off her face and out of her hair. Alex blinked water out of her green eyes as she stepped over the body to explore her locked prison. Wet blonde strands stuck to her forehead as she bent over to open a small duffle bag. She shivered as the controlled air of the plane hit her the wet skin of her neck and bare skin of her back and stomach. It was freezing down here. She looked through the duffle bag, praying for some strand of hope. “Thank god!” She whispered, pulling out her father’s spare shirt and jacket. She pulled on the flight shirt, buttoning it up and rolling the sleeves. She would have looked like a young child playing dress up, everything from the fear etched on her face to her form swallowed by the shirt made her seem younger.
Alex sat down on the bed, green eyes brimming with tears as they gazed upon the lifeless body once more. What was she going to do? She looked up, feeling the plane shudder beneath her. Then she realized it was simple herself shuddering and she dissolved into tears. It all seemed so hopeless.
