catalog of collapsing stars

you swept past my face like an eclipse
in moonlight i practiced my solitary scales
words swelling i can't put a finger on
swelling like balloons forth; bursting
before they ever reach the map of my tongue
the music that hid my emotions, what it said
in this world, stability is everything
all those garbled transmissions; our satellites
are you picking up my signals?
