Oh, what tangled webs we weave
What deceit and hate we contemplate
What was once [true] friendship now asunder
No one can help but wonder
Where did you come from? Oh little devil of mine
Where are you going? When will you decide
To break this circle you have us running in
Do you really think I’ll give in?
Or is it just that you think I already have
That you’ve won
That you’ve taken everything I have
I’ve never held a grudge in my life
Is this really what you want
To mess with my life
Well I’d really hate to break it to you
But what you hope to fuck up you never can
You have no hope no dream no plan
I can rip you to shreds any day
You want to dance?
Well that’s okay.
You think I’m hopeless?
That we’re through?
You think other people can’t see through you?
I’d hate to break it to you sweetheart
But all the balls are not on your side of the court
I have a few cards up my sleeve
You really don’t want to dance with me
Oh, what tangled webs we weave
What more deceit? What more trouble?
Do you think I don’t see your double
Act that’s what I know you are
Little princess, go play that guitar
Strum for all it’s worth
I doubt your song will last long
If it does, you have us all fooled
But in the future the joke will not be on us but on you
