rainy day
Yesterday I want to Katy's pastoral ordination (she was grated permission by the church to become a minister). It was a beautiful and extremely moving service. I am so proud of the struggles she has overcome with her faith in God and the goals she has been able to achieve. She was my confirmation sponser and I feel truely blessed that she has been a part of my life. It is absolutely amazing how selfless some people are - I mean, she has been able to change her life completely and dedicate herself fully to spreading peace. I cant wait until we are able to get together and catch up on everything - I cant believe it had been over a year since we had seen each other. I'm really looking forward to reconnecting with my church now that I have more time. I love the open and accepting environment that they are promoting and the activist stance the community has taken on.
In other less spiritual news....I heard back from Companions and Homemakers and it appears that I got the job!! yay :) unfortunately they wanted me to start tomorrow during i time that i had to work :( I have officially diagnosed myself as a workaholic and probably need some kind of 5-step program but its all good. I'm hoping that the next time they call I will be free and then i can start raking in the dough and begin paying off rediculously large credit card bills.
well i must finish frosting the cupcakes I am making for Jeff's b-day now - french vanilla with chocolate almond frosting - I should win the award for domestic diva of the month, haha.
