Smelly wet dog. P.U.
Mollie just came in soaked. It's actually raining. Nice soft steady soaking rain. I'm sorry that it's Labor Day and lots of people had their boats hitched up ready to go, but we need this. Many of those lakes are down as much as 10 feet, and unfortunately, this isn't going to help much.
Spent yesterday watching movies... among them The Aviator. I've always been fascinated with Howard Hughes, and I liked the movie, but I would have liked it better with almost anyone else cast as Hughes. Apologies to any DiCaprio fans, but something about him lacks intensity, and Hughes was intense. Alec Baldwin's portrayal of Juan Trippe made DiCaprio's Hughes pale by comparison. And I swear, as much as I know about Hughes, I did not know he and Katharine Hepburn were an item.
Taking time out to fondle TR tickets. I guess I should make a copy so the original isn't all gross when I hand it over. : P
Need coffee and one of those stale bagels I have hanging around. I've needed to go to the store for about a week but wasn't up to walking around a lot. Maybe I'll take a handful of Aleve and give it a try later.
OMG. I just heard that Steve Irwin (Crocodile Hunter) was killed by a stingray while filming a documentary off the coast of Australia. According to reports, he was stuck in the chest by the stingray, which stopped his heart instantly. Now I know he was a bit crazy and all, but it was hard not to like him as he crawled in the sand beside a giant komodo dragon. I want to say I can't believe this happened, but this end was almost inevitable. : (
