Greatness

What defines a great person or a great life? When most people think of outstanding people they think of politicians, theorists, peace keepers, businessmen, artists, or scientists. But behind every great person is an equally great person who does nothing but love and support every failure, trial, tribulation that made those greats great. Never mentioned, never noticed are the silent greats. The children, parents, siblings, friends, spouses, lovers, co-workers, counselors whose greatness lies in their unbending support.

How should we create our life of greatness? Some of us will be the creator of the new post-it, the next Darwin, Einstein, Da Vinci, Gandhi. But these people will not achieve their greatest without the helping hands of the mother, father, sister, brother and friend. Now with 100 years of life a person can accomplish many great things. But, the pressure of time creates the need for prioritizing. If you had only 40 years of life, what would you do? How will you be great?
