Shopping, and Hiking, and Stuff

For the past few days I've been going on a bunch of tours of Haifa, and going around town with some people and other random stuff like that. We took a tour of the Bahi Gardens which is this gorgeous place in the middle of the mountain with a ton of steps that we walked down. I've also explored the various market places.
Its amazing how inexpensive stuff is there, especially the fruits and vegetables. At one place I payed about $1 for a fairly large bag of vegetables and under $1 for a bunch of freshly made pita bread. I'm still getting used to the Israeli money and the fact that there are huge differences in price between what you can get in a market place (most food is around $1-2) and the prices at restorants and regular grocery stores where the prices are about what they cost in the US. Tonight I got a few slices of pizzia for 20 shekels which seemed like a huge amount of money until I relized that thatz only about $5.
Tomorrow classes finally start. I'm really curious how their going to run them, and hopefully I'll learn enough of the language to be able to communicate if i ever come back.
