I've realized something.
Not smoking is completely conformist and pro-establishment.
Think about it...
-The government wants you to not smoke.
-Your parents undoubtedly want you to not smoke.
-Millions of dollars are invested every year to push people away from smoking.
-Horrible propaganda put up all over America is designed to scare people into not smoking, just like how people used to be scared into not being communists or Nazis or whatever the current trend was at the time.
-A large majority of America pushes a non-smoking agenda, and will stop at nothing to ruin your rights to smoke.
Bars and restaurants, in concordance with the government and its agendas, don't want you smoking, either.
By not smoking, you're falling into the government's spin tactics to keep you from smoking, which is a decision that we should all make with our own minds and not just because mom, dad, and the mayor are telling you not to.
So do yourself and your (somehow still) free country a favor, and pick up a pack of squares next time you go to get gas for your car. Stick it to the establishment and the government by lighting up a cigarette next time you're walking somewhere. Fight the power, exercise your right to do what you fucking feel like when you want to, even if it "infringes on the rights of others to NOT smoke." Uptight conformist assholes.
