I am becoming increasingly unhappy with my relaxed hair. It is shedding and breaking a lot ( Read more... )

I don't see why they would have a problem with it. Usually in life drawing you only block out hair anyways. Not enough time unless you go into long studies.

In fact they will probably look at it as an opportunity to draw the human head without hair in the way. I know I would.

You shouldn't be concerned about how you look Ebbs. You look fantastic with or without hair.

Thank you, I really want to feel a little better personally.

It is a long study in the class(es), that is why I'll ask first before I do anything.

This would be the 4th of 5, 3 hour sessions in the class.

It is a life drawing class where people paint and work in pastel.

Health should always come before fashion, methinks. In any case, like Equus said, you look great however your hair is styled.

I think once I do this, I'll feel liberated and better in general.

It is shedding and breaking a lot.

Bwuh? She must have left it in waaaay to long. Get a box of Dark&Lovely, Soft&Beautiful, or ROOT relaxer and do it yourself next time, if their ever is a next time.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with it :( relaxed hair *can* be more fragile than natural, but I like being able to pull a brush through my nappiness too much to stop relaxing it.

And as for shaven models, most of the time people love that. Closer anatomy of the skull beneath the skin FTW.

I think I will steer clear of chemicals for a bit, if I want to pull my hair back I think I will flat iron it every once in awhile for special things.

I really miss being able to do finger twists, and two strand twists. I like the look of them and since I don't wear makeup or anything I think it will suit me to have my hair natural as well.

If I do decide to do chemicals again I won't go to a stylist for the treatment since I almost always end up being their too long and my hair is over-processed.

I actually felt more attractive when I was almost bald, so I look forward to tanning my scalp, last time it was quite white until I let it get kissed by the sun.

Maaaybe sometime, but right now it would be a little too permanent for me ;)

Though I might do sisterlocks sometime if I can find someone that does them:

I want to do finger coils and two strand twists.

I like this person's coils:

Mine looked much like those when my hair was natural.

and this woman's mane of twists:

I miss being able to do things like that.

You could always wear a hat or wig if they decide they don't like it...?
I put my vote in that they might even prefer it *shrugs*
