Yeah okay so maybe I need to cut down on the FFXII playing just a tad...I'm fast approaching 20 hours...but I have had it for almost 3 days now...and I am only in Bhujerba (but I am trying desperately to level up my characters, buy the the best weapons they can possibly have at this point and get a decent ranking as a bounty hunter so... I'm happy)...meh 20 hours is not even close to being excessive. CURSE YOU GAMER'S THUMB!!!
Yeah so anyway atm all these bastards keep hitting on my woman (*ahem* that is to say Vaan's 'friend'...yeah right...sexual tension rly?). I mean first some crazy ass Baanga bounty hunter gang steal her away, then I go to rescue her only to find that the bastards let her go and then find out through a cut scene that the stupid little prepubescent boy (that is Larsa for those of you in the know) that practically pissed his pants as he ran away from said Baanga gang and left me to fight the bastards (we'll not mention that I took one look at the ridiculous health on them...there were four and taking into account that at level 13 with 4 people in my party if you added together all of our HP it wouldn't make even one of theirs... and ran screaming like a little girl...and barely made it out alive...stupid Vaan and his slow running when he has his sword out) has now stolen my woman and taken her on a ship back to my home city...which technically means that all along I COULD'VE STAYED IN RABANASTRE ALL ALONG!!! Damn pointless tasks! Then when I finally do meet up with my woman again the kid is all like 'oh here take this Nagicite stuff which I now know works and is really rare and is a sample from some labs which are supposed to be a really important part of the story I am guessing because the characters have repeated the names of the laboratories several times within the past 10 minutes' thinking that perhaps he can get into her pants I'll bet and I'm all like 'piss off kid, I bet you can't even get it up yet and she is my woman anyway...but thanks for the Nagicite because I'm sure it'll be useful later and it doesn't matter if Penelo leaves my party again because its in my inventory anyway so suck on that!'...but then later after we get out of another pointlessly dangerous situation (in which I could've killed the dude I was fighting but just as I had gotten him down to hardly any health his helmet fell off, revealing that he was an old man who I probably could've scared to death if I had hidden behind a corner then jumped out at him, a cut scene played where once again we all ran like little girls from the problem...really I mean one well placed bullet from Balthier or an arrow from Fran directly between his eyes would've killed him and he wouldn't cause any more trouble - which I bet he will in the future) and end up back in Rabanastre and Penelo gives Balthier back his handkerchief (which I never knew she had...or maybe I did and I just forgot) and he's all like 'Oh thank you my lady...*bows*' and I'm shaking my fist at the screen going 'Damn it! She's my woman! I hope she blew her nose on that damn thing and left a dirty great booger right in the middle of it...' but you know Baltheir probably wouldn't mind...he seems like the type who would be into weird stuff...keh. Also I don't understand why the hell everyone is so scared of Vayne...he's a bloody poncy git...I mean whatever happened to the great characters you loved to hate and then by the end you couldn't help but love because they were so awsomely evil like Sephiroth? No now they are all gay...seriously...don't believe me? One word...Seymour. I rest my case. Also at the start it is pretty lame but don't give up hope! You'll only play as Reks for a short amount of time and then he dies (everyone cheers because Reks is such a weiner...I'm constantly arguing this fact with Vaan - Reks was his brother btw) then you'll be stuck in Rabanastre for awhile but once the storyline starts up it is pretty addictive, the cutscenes are beautiful and the gambit, license and battle systems are a lot simpler than in FFX.
So yes. I hope you enjoyed my view of FFXII so far.
