What will they do? What is their agenda? What is their goal? Do you know? Do you really know because we haven't been told. We know what they are against, but we don't actually know what they are for. The destruction caused to business came from lack of credit. Taxes have been dropped to an all-time low, including rates on lending.

Taxes are not as simple as 'brakes' -- certain taxes can motivate certain policies and encourage businesses as well as grow new industries. They can also be used to avoid inflation, gentrification, and other inequities that can unbalance the economy.

Your average taxes are about 18%. The real drag on working people comes from insurance fees, health benefit spending, and property taxes (which have been unbalanced due to federal/state budget cuts).

Texas is the ONLY red leaning state that produces as much federal revenue as it taxes in. California and New York earn more federal revenue than they take in. Though California is currently borrowing a ton of money -- it's just that: borrowed -- as in, meant to be paid back. If you want to argue about the quality of life and jobs in each state -- that becomes a matter FAR more complicated than even the complexity of taxes.

I fear you are oversimplifying to paint a picture you wish to believe.

Few people also don't realize or fail to acknowledge that when the stimulus was passed there were many tax cuts in them, but since it wasn't done in the fashion of receiving a check, people rarely actually realize it.

I realized it -- my tax return went from an average of 2,600$K, to 3,200$K. Sure, I wrote off some business expenses -- but nothing that would account for that.

I got the largest tax return I ever got in my life this past year, so SOMETHING must have happened for that increased return, because I know it's not me getting craftier at claiming things.
