Well, we don't have a Saetan to offer - but there is a Merlin, lurking about. He is in fact as is his habit when Jaenelle is not well, in bird shape, out the window.
He wants to help. He knows she knows he is there.
Jaenelle. Let me in.
He can't let her stay angry - for the safety of the Mansion.
The bird doesn't seem to be bothered by the examination.
True, that is a pretentious thing to say, for Merlin - but as he is at the point where he cares very little about his own survival, it's not uncalled for.
He just waits for her to be done. He survived Morgoth. And Morgause. Who is probably his equivalent, anyway.
Jaenelle is one of his only friends. He's not going to let her down.
So the bird flies in, then, and as he lands on the floor, the elderly wizard appears. She needs a fatherly figure, just now - and that's just what Merlin can offer.
"No, it cannot. You cannot keep on simmering this way, endangering the whole Mansion, despite your own barriers." He looks at her, still gentle, though firm. "You are miserable - but your power is too great to remain so close to implosion."
He wants to help. He knows she knows he is there.
Jaenelle. Let me in.
He can't let her stay angry - for the safety of the Mansion.
