Jaenelle is outside again, looking once more a) alive and b) focused. She's standing at the edge of the lake, humming, her brow furrowed, and thinking intently. There are people she wants to see, conversations she (doesn't) want to have, and things that need doing, but for a moment here, she's just going to look at the lake and enjoy a moment of

Cyrano will be close by, fishing - and when he sees Jaenelle, he leaves his equipment to the side, and strides over to see her.

"Jaenelle?" She seems so focused. But he's very happy to see her on her feet again.

She looks up, blinks, and then a small little smile for him appears, though her eyes are still a little far away. "Cyrano."

He bows for her, and as he straightens. "It is good to see you up and about, my cousin. How are you?"

She considers.

"Tired. I'm tired."

[cyranosavignien]

He nods, his hand moves to touch her shoulder. "You know you can always lean on me, do you not?"

In all senses of the term, Jaenelle.

She smiles at him, a very little bit. "I know. But I could not. Especially not now."

"That is very unfair of you, Jaenelle." He frowns. "Not allowing your friends to care for you. Tsk tsk tsk."

She shakes her head. "There are things I need to take care of by myself. Responsibilities that are mine and mine alone."

"And you would condemn me to worriment?" Dramatically.

She gives him a sideways look. "I'm sure you can find something else to occupy your time," almost tartly.

[cyranosavignien]

He stays quiet, and gives her a pained look.

She flails at him. It's really the only way to describe it.

"Cyrano, I have to! You remember that night..."

[cyranosavignien]

"I do. Ariana's nightmares are hard to forget."

[ebonyjaenelle72]

She nods. "Exactly. If I don't do something...it'll be like that, but worse, a thousand times worse."

[cyranosavignien]

He shudders. "I was afraid so."

She just nods.
