Abby frowned as Connor came into the room. Gone were the scruffy t-shirts, waistcoats and tight jeans, replaced by a neat shirt and sensible black trousers. He’d even made an effort to tame his hair.
“What have you done to yourself?”
“I’m just trying something new,” he said defensively.
Abby sighed; she’d seen Connor’s longing glances at Becker, Becker returning that interest even if Connor hadn’t realised.
“Connor, if you have to change who you are then he’s not worth it.”
“But-”
“Besides, he likes you just the way you are.”
“He does?”
Abby gave him a hug. “Who wouldn’t?”
